New addition to i.c.photo studio

L-R Trevor (Assistant Photographer), Sandra Moynihan (PA) & Ian (Me!)

Let us go back in time a little to my first post. I did mention my amusement on how any busy photographer could ever keep a blog updated & I recall asking for patience I’m sure! Well the past 8-10 weeks were the straw that broke the camel’s back.  Things have been so busy I just haven’t had a chance to update the blog.

Well whats new !

The biggest change the past few weeks has been a new addition to our Team - I head hunted a Personnel Assistant.  With our move to the new studio and the continuing growth of the business I felt it was important to delegate some responsibilities & to take a little pressure off myself.  Sandra started as soon as we opened our new studio & she has made an immediate difference.  She now handles all the administration side of the business along with managing the studio, enquiries, appointments & much more.

All in all her arrival has been of huge benefit to me & I feel we are heading in the right direction.

And who knows I might even be able to keep my blog updated from now on !!!

Month of Madness !!

•June 17, 2008 • 1 Comment

I can’t believe it’s been a month since my last post. What’s been happening, well let me explain exactly : 36 studio portraits, 8 family portraits, 8 weddings, 6 e-session’s, 4 commercial shoots, 2 school shoots - I think that’s it not to mention album designs, meetings etc.

All of that is more the norm but ’WE HAVE MOVED’ and that’s the real reason for no post!

At last we have settled in to our new studio at The Reeks Gateway. Its been a roller-coaster ride but finally were in !

Please come and visit us and look out for our official launch plus loads of Special Offers over the next few weeks.

Thanks for all of your patience .

Below are some highlights from the last 30 Days !

Aine & Noel 17th May ‘08

•May 23, 2008 • No Comments

Aine & Noel were married in Shrone Church last Saturday. This was my first visit to this beautiful church. Unfortunately weather was not kind to us, with heavy showers for most of the day. The couple held their reception in Ballygarry House Hotel and late in the evening when the showers eventually dried up we even got time for a few outside images.

Note to Couples:

When booking your hotel always have an alternative area for photographs should the weather not be as you would have dreamt it would !

Ballygarry is a perfect example of this with a mixture of old, new, bright and shaded area’s.

Damian & Caitriona 10th May ‘08

•May 13, 2008 • No Comments

OK disregard my pessimistic view as regards May weather in the last post - I obviously didn’t know what I was talking about!  What a week of glorious sunshine & long may it last!

Damian travelled all the way from ‘The Drumlin County’  (Co. Monaghan) to wed he’s Beautiful Kerry Bride Caitriona.  The ceremony took place in Milltown church with their wedding reception later that day in The Dromhall Hotel in Killarney.

Portmagee Lady Noreen married Limerick Man Gerard in a neutral venue that was Inch church last Saturday. Later that day they and their Guests celebrated in The Dingle Skellig Hotel. www.dingleskellig.com

Thankfully in between the downpours we managed to capture many memorable images even taking time out in ‘The South Pole Pub ‘!

For a quick pint of the Black Stuff!!!!

Triona & Pat 26th April ‘08

•May 2, 2008 • No Comments

Triona & Pat were married in Knocknagree Church in beautiful sunshine last Friday.  Afterwards they held their reception party in Ballygarry House Hotel . (www.ballygarryhouse.com)

Firstly on behalf of Pat and he’s brothers Ben, Joe & John, who were groomsmen on the day, they & I would would like to adamantly distance ourselves from the mysterious demolition of a garden bench in the gardens of Ballygarry House Hotel.

Photographic evidence below may point to the boys but it must obviously has been doctored !!!!

p.s. Sorry Padraig !!!!!

Fancy growing up with a Castle in your front garden!  Well that’s just what Florance did!

Her family home is alongside the beautiful & picturesque Ross Castle in Killarney.

The day started off in a downpour but thankfully cleared just in time for the photographs.

Below you will see a few pictures we took in Florence’s Garden (as such) !!!!
